How many batman's can one house have? This particular household has 5...probably more. { Baby little } and daddy's batmen are having a conversation. It's a conversation that always starts with "hi" and ends in hugs and kisses. Even superheroes need hugs and kisses I suppose. Canon 5D II | Canon 35 2.0

It may only be 17 degree outside but we managed to sneak a little summer in. It might be the closest we get to it for a while. Canon 5DII | Canon 35 2.0
For weeks before Christmas, { big boy little } continually asked me to play Monopoly. I tried to tell him that it was more of a grown up game (counting money, reading). I finally caved and I'm so glad I did. He loves it. We leave it on the dining room table and play when the mood strikes us. It is quite fun to watch him make decisions and strategize. This boy does not like to spend his money! He only buys properties unless he has gobs of money. Funny thing is, the kid beat me the first time, fair and square. This is our second Monopoly marathon...bring it on ;) Love this next one. Waiting so patiently for me to join him. Canon 5D II | Canon 35 2.0
It was a good day for a mommy/son lunch date and a bowling birthday party...being that it was the mild temperature of -15 outside. I loved our uninterrupted conversation at lunch, and watching him enjoy 3 rounds of bowling, ice cream cake and time together. It was Miss M's party, but he was feeling shy, only knowing a couple kids. He was stuck close to my side until it was his turn...then the shyness melted away and it was just pure fun.
A charley's cheesesteak sub, window shopping and the mall play place. This is Valentine's Day 2015. We will choose another night for a date night, but today was a family day. Although the snow came down in droves, we managed to plow through and choose the only place closely that would get us out of the house and moving. As simple as it was, it was just right for us tonight. Fujifilm x20
Ok don't judge. You are probably going to think we are totally nuts. Meet squirrel friend. Yup. We basically have an outdoor pet squirrel. I am cleaning up the kitchen after lunch and I hear { baby little } " skirl skirl skirl". Ahh, he's back. With all the snow he hasn't been around as much. We feed him nuts. Yes, again, that is right. We feed the probably-rabies-ridden squirrel when he shows up at the door. The boys love it. Although that brazen little fellow practically tries to run into the house when I open the door so I chuck the nuts at him and slam the door shut. He's even started to beg at the door. We may not have a dog these days but the boys have a squirrel friend. Canon 5DII | Canon 35 2.0
When I picked him up from school on Monday, his teacher had to share an observation my guy had made during his friends birthday celebration at school. He says to Mrs. Y, so matter-of-fact, "I haven't had one of these in years". Well dear, you do realize you haven't even been on this planet for that many years...right? The things kids say...I couldn't help but chuckle. It's the simple things in life they enjoy the most isn't it? Canon 5DII | Canon 35 2.0
Even though { big boy little } is almost 5, his daddy checks on him every night before we go to bed. No matter how big he gets, he's still our baby. iPhone 5s I finally had to cave and take a photo with my iPhone. I still can't let an image post without some editing. VSCOcam is the best editing app I have found!
Five bucks to the first person who can name that show. No, seriously. Guess right and $5 to Starbucks is yours. And no, honey, you can't compete since you watch it with me. It's our new ( almost nightly ) routine the last couple weeks. Boys to bed, chocolate milk in hand and a seat for two in the basement. Canon 5DII | Canon 35 2.0
{ Baby little } loves library class { Strongsville Branch Library }. When we get into the room he sits in my lap waiting patiently for Mrs. K to start class with her yarn haired baby doll. I love this moment with him. He is waiting and eager to sing, dance and read books. At the end of each song and rhyme he says "again, again". This week the activity was ribbons. She asks them to dance and move their ribbons in circles...{ baby little } adds a bit of flair by spinning in circles as well. Fuji x20

What now?It truly is a labor of love each day to search for just the right image(s)...the ones that represent our daily lives...edit them, organize them, write about them. What a wonderful experience and an amazing amount of growth this year for me. It has been a great journey but one I am not jumping into again just yet. I am going to take a breather, let the dust settle and let inspiration find me and lead me to my next project. For now, I will continue to post about our lives but only when I feel it.
