I wanted to catch the moment when { baby little } runs into his room in his towel, to get into his pjs. I waited as he barreled in and although some images didn't make the cut, because well, he wasn't exactly covered, I managed to get one where he was covered, but giving me this, "come on mom!" face. But my favorite image, was the one I didn't expect. He grabbed his towel around his waist and ran to hug his bubby. Oh my heart. That was even better than the one I had planned. I certainly can't take credit for this image, because of course, I am in it. My love snuck up behind me and captured a picture of our nightly routine, bath time with me sitting in the wings, washing and getting their towels ready. Thank you babe. Feel free to pick my camera up anytime you want...I want to be in the shot with them more often. Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART Cleveland, Ohio Photographer

180 days into my 365 project and I haven't missed a date. Today was almost the undoing of my streak. The boys were in bed, my love and I were in our pjs getting ready for bed when I remembered! Whew. A quick pic of the lovely indoor herb garden we made, next to one of my favorite artifact uprising products. The wood block + prints is just perfect. Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART
It may be late in the season but late is better than never. We planted herbs this year...and a strawberry plant. With a gardening shovel and his diego gloves on his hands, he worked away, so careful with the plants. My little gardener. Some photos with grandma :) Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART
Poor { baby little } was on the mend from being sick but grandma was visiting from Viriginia so we took our chances on an adventure to the Natural History Museum. I sat in the car with him as he slept a bit longer, hoping that the extra rest would do him some good. Look at that sweet boy. They are always little angels when they sleep. He perked up in the museum as the boys popped from one exhibit to the next, digging for dinosaur bones and touching anything within their reach. It really is the perfect spot for an adventure. We have a graduate. Safety town was a success. He now looks both ways approximately 50 times before crossing the street with an adult and tells me I have poison under my kitchen sink. The fire station and police station were the highlights of the week. I never have to worry about my big boy, as he has always been a cautious little guy. Grandma came in town for a visit, bringing my love and I a bottle of wine (all parents need this) and bubbles for the boys. They, well more baby little, were doused in sticky bubble solution, and they loved it! Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART
We snuck outside after the rain for a break from inside. Two wooden cars from pawpaw and barefeet on the rain soaked concrete. Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART
Oh my how I love seeing them dress in costumes and parade around the house. I've said it before, but I will truly be sad when they outgrow their love for this type of adventure...turning themselves into superheroes. { Big boy little } with his outgrown buzz costume, darth gloves and superman cape. Baby little with the darth belt, and superman cape 2 at his back. They are a team. Canon 5DIII | Sigma 35 ART
My beautiful boy. We always save his yearly photoshoot until the weather breaks there is green on the trees and summer is here. He is 5. How did that happen? I can still hear the tiny toddler voice he once had and the shy little guy that would hide in my arms. That version of him is slowly ebbing into an adventurous, increasingly confidently, little man. And such a treat for this photographer mama, is that fact that he enjoys having his picture taken. I captured his smile, his adventure, and even his silly side as he ran through the nature preserve we stumbled upon. Love you little boy. Thanks for choosing me. Canon 5DIII | Sigma 50 ART
It didn't rain today. The first day in almost 2 weeks. That calls for lunch on the deck and time in the water table. The boys need the outdoors, and who are we kidding, so do I. Canon 5DII | Sigma 35 ART
It's Father's Day. Big boy little used money from his allowance and bought a game of checkers for he and daddy to play. It was perfect. Although we spent most of the day in the car after lunch, we were together, the 4 of us. He is an incredible father, just like my own daddio. He always puts us first, loves his boys and treats me like a queen. Happy father's day my love. Canon 5DII | Sigma 35 ART

What now?It truly is a labor of love each day to search for just the right image(s)...the ones that represent our daily lives...edit them, organize them, write about them. What a wonderful experience and an amazing amount of growth this year for me. It has been a great journey but one I am not jumping into again just yet. I am going to take a breather, let the dust settle and let inspiration find me and lead me to my next project. For now, I will continue to post about our lives but only when I feel it.
