We spent 5 hours in the car but that couldn't keep me away from a quick pit stop at one of my fav places. If one of these come to Cleveland, I am seriously in trouble. Iphone 6
Our last day with our friends. A walk downtown, a stop at the candy store, and dinner out on the town. We cannot thank you enough for the adventures! Canon 5DII || Sigma 35 ART
Filled to the brim with couch snuggles, water fun and friendship. That was today. Yummy homemade pancakes and bacon (oh do I love bacon) started our morning and then we scurried to throw on our suits and head to the beach. By the time we had on our suits the sky opened up and it poured. It was a bit comical seeing everyone in their suits watching the rain outside. And just when we thought our beach adventure wouldn't happen (yes, David, you were right) the rain stopped and the sun was shining. And minus one hellacious melt down from { baby little } the day was perfection. Although I'll admit, the melt down was slightly comical and makes for a good -or bad- story, depending on how you look at it.
We thought our babies would grow up together but things change, and yes, sometimes people move. We miss our friends. It's one of those easy friendships where you are comfortable and easy. It's been almost a year since they moved and other than facetime a couple times, they haven't seen each other. What a surprise for their oldest as we pulled into the driveway. { Big boy little } had been asking about our visit for the better part of a month. And it was as if no time had passed and we had simply walked across our backyard into theirs again. Well, minus the 5 hour drive to get there. Canon 5DII || Sigma 35 ART
It was a double adventure sort of day. The morning was filled with bounce house fun, friends and a pool party while we ended the day with a trip the the Strongsville Homecoming Festival. They both amazed me with how much braver they have become. Weeks before { baby little } wouldn't even consider the bounce house but today, before I could even blink my eyes he was in there jumping and smiling. And { big boy little } rides like this would have never been a consideration, but today, be didn't even think twice. He gets nervous sometimes and I reassure him that this is about having fun..you don't have to do anything that you don't want to. It was his choice and as he stepped up his nerves kicked in. The woman running the ride assured him that he would enjoy it and that he was safe. I was glad for that. Sometimes it helps for them to hear it from someone other than mom. Before the end, he was bursting with pride...and I have to admit, so was I. Fuji x100 || Canon 5DIII Sigma 35 ART
First parade for these little boys...the Strongsville Homecoming Parade. Waving at the fire trucks, watching the dancers and of course, the candy. Oh the candy. Canon 5DIII || Sigma 35 ART || Cleveland Lifestyle Photographer
It's the small moments. { Big boy little } was dumping their collection of Itty Bitty's on himself and giggling while { baby little } stuck his head under to get some of the action. I am always amazed at what they find to entertain themselves. It got even better when daddy started dumping the the stuffed animals on both of them. Holding hands, giggling and waiting for them to topple on them. Canon 5DIII || Sigma 35 ART || Cleveland Documentary Photographer
They are little ninjas. Waiting for the water to come before they chop and round-house-kick it. Crocker Park Splash Pad is the best of everything. Lunch, a little shopping for mommy, and shooting water features for the boys. {Baby little} wanted to stay with his bubby and {big boy} was happy to pull him into the fun. There is just something about these two. Canon 5D III || Sigma 35 ART || Cleveland Documentary Photographer
True to Ice family tradition, {baby little} went to his first movie just shy of his 2nd birthday. The Minion Movie, popcorn and sour patch kids hit the spot. Fuji x100

What now?It truly is a labor of love each day to search for just the right image(s)...the ones that represent our daily lives...edit them, organize them, write about them. What a wonderful experience and an amazing amount of growth this year for me. It has been a great journey but one I am not jumping into again just yet. I am going to take a breather, let the dust settle and let inspiration find me and lead me to my next project. For now, I will continue to post about our lives but only when I feel it.
