It was a mommy son date. As we waited for the lights to dim and the curtain to rise, { big boy little } was scanning the program for hints of what we might see. Nothing could have been more fitting. Pirates, sword fights, lost boys and pixie dust (yes, even little boys can like Tink).
After each scene ; "what's going to happen?"...just watch baby, was always my reply. His eyes were glued to the stage with his hand in my hand. I love that he still wants to hold my hand. He whispered to me how he wants to be in a play when he is big. You go for it, little guy, and I'll be right there watching you shine. We joined the cast for a luncheon afterwards, although he was feeling too shy to talk to them. It doesn't happen much anymore, but he still gets shy. I don't push him. This is who he is. And although he didn't want to speak to the characters, he certainly wasn't opposed to become one himself.
