I loved watching his concentration as he mixed the powder, and carefully poured it into the top of his volcano. Once he added the water his facial expressions changed to excitement and awe, with a few giggles here and there. One of the many gifts I get as a parent, is watching him discover new things and get excited about things that, as an adult, I take for granted or seem so simple. To him, it's a great adventure and he's taking me along for the ride.
