After each scene ; "what's going to happen?"...just watch baby, was always my reply. His eyes were glued to the stage with his hand in my hand. I love that he still wants to hold my hand. He whispered to me how he wants to be in a play when he is big. You go for it, little guy, and I'll be right there watching you shine. We joined the cast for a luncheon afterwards, although he was feeling too shy to talk to them. It doesn't happen much anymore, but he still gets shy. I don't push him. This is who he is. And although he didn't want to speak to the characters, he certainly wasn't opposed to become one himself.
It was a mommy son date. As we waited for the lights to dim and the curtain to rise, { big boy little } was scanning the program for hints of what we might see. Nothing could have been more fitting. Pirates, sword fights, lost boys and pixie dust (yes, even little boys can like Tink). After each scene ; "what's going to happen?"...just watch baby, was always my reply. Sometimes when we take bubby to school, we are still in our pjs. Today was one of those days. But as soon as we stepped out of the car and into our garage, his beautiful chubby finger was pointing to the yard; "play outside" he asks. Even the chill outside and a cup of coffee calling my name couldn't make me disappoint him. So we grabbed his hat, my camera and stepped out into the cool March morning. Having this time, just the two of us, is so precious. It makes me slow down and watch the world through his eyes. At this time last year he wasn't even walking. Now he is a toddling, exploring little boy. The last image...."shh shh" he was telling me as he was listening for the garbage truck rounding the corner. As the truck passed our house earlier, the men blasted their horn over and over again as they waved at my little guy. He was smitten with them, loving every minute of it. Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
The house was in bed with the mufflings of HGTV in the background. I am working through a wonderful class through Clickin Mom's by the talented Brit Chandler. This is what I love about photography. I am always learning new things, expanding and exploring. A pretty nice Thursday evening, if I do say so. Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
This is where I found them. It was quiet. I was making dinner. Like I said, it was quiet. I stepped into the front room but at first glance, I thought they weren't there. Then a quiet rustle in the corner gave them away and a grin spread across my face. I grabbed my camera and stood on top of the chair, the one that has this tiny corner behind it where my two little munchkins were playing. I love that moment right before they know I'm there, before my presence alters the dynamic. When they see me their giggles come out. Their giggles are just great, but for me, I cherish their secret little moment right before. Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
Car racing baby. Between peeks at the Chica Show, they would run over, race a few cars, and back to catch a snippet of the squeaking puppet that they both love (well..baby little more so). Glad they could multitask. Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
Brothers. There is this bond between them. They love each other. I watched each of them today, give up something for the other. You want to ride my motorcycle, go ahead. You need my magformer to finish your creation, it's yours. Sure, there are times when they bicker, but most of the time I watch them care for each other and enjoy each others friendship. There's nothing better than that. Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
We spent our Sunday afternoon at the auto show. Don't let their expressions fool you, they enjoyed the jeep ride. Well, at least that's what they told me. { Baby Little } told me he liked it but the look on his face...it screams; what did I get myself into?!? Fuji x20
Ok, so I'll admit. This photo really isn't one that was thought out or planned, but I was determined not to miss a day of my 365. Enter here...a Cleveland road sign on our way home from date night with our friends. I used the VSCO editing app from my iPhone that I just love! Best photo app ever. iPhone 5s
Don't let the snow fool year, we are having a heatwave around here! After a winter of sub zero temps, 50 degrees feels like 70. { Baby little } and I took advantage. He decided to gas up the mower and get a head start on some spring lawn care. I adore the look on his face in the last image. As we played, the sound of a firetruck in the background stopped him dead in his tracks. Oooh! "Fire truck coming!!" Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART
Sometimes when they are starved and waiting for daddy to get home...the whining begins. I've found only one way to stave off the major meltdowns that can happen with hungry little boy bellies. The answer is simple, really. Put them to work. Although in the process, I am quite certain that { Baby little } ate more than he passed to bubbly for cutting. But they were happy and content. I'll take it! Canon 5D II | Sigma 35 ART

What now?It truly is a labor of love each day to search for just the right image(s)...the ones that represent our daily lives...edit them, organize them, write about them. What a wonderful experience and an amazing amount of growth this year for me. It has been a great journey but one I am not jumping into again just yet. I am going to take a breather, let the dust settle and let inspiration find me and lead me to my next project. For now, I will continue to post about our lives but only when I feel it.
