There's a new mailman in town. Ok, maybe more like mail delivery man. I may shelter him a bit but I haven't let him get the mail for us until now. I always worry about the box being at the road. He is a super cautious kid but, you know, I just worry. A couple weeks ago, I let him fetch the mail but cautioned him to watch the road and not go near the box until there is no one coming (both ways). I have to chuckle now when I watch him. He stands at the sidewalk, looks both ways multiple times, scurries like a mouse to the box, looks both ways once more and then grabs the mail and gets out of there. If he gets to the box and sees a car 3 blocks down the road, he runs back to the sidewalk and waits for it to pass. The best part is how disheveled the mail is in his arms. Mail scattered on the driveway and crinkled in his big boy hands. He always goes back for it but it seriously makes me grin. Love him.

It truly is a labor of love each day to search for just the right image(s)...the ones that represent our daily lives...edit them, organize them, write about them. What a wonderful experience and an amazing amount of growth this year for me. It has been a great journey but one I am not jumping into again just yet. I am going to take a breather, let the dust settle and let inspiration find me and lead me to my next project. For now, I will continue to post about our lives but only when I feel it.
